Hot water accounts for 23 per cent of the total energy used in British Columbian homes. By installing a solar hot water system you could be saving up to 75 per cent of your annual water heating costs.

Two main technologies are available for solar hot water; Flat Plate Collectors or Evacuated Tubes. Resolution Electric’s preferred solution for a potable hot water system is to install the Evacuated Tubes. Although the initial cost may be slightly higher, the energy harnessed from the sun over the year is greater. Simply put Evacuated Tubes will give you years of service with a greater annual energy output, which means greater savings for you over the life of the system.
